Construction of the new Sacred Heart Grotto is almost complete! We are very thankful and excited for the beautiful addition to the St. Joseph campus, which creates a peaceful place to pray outdoors. The Grotto is the Eagle Scout Service Project for Chris Zuber. A statue of the Sacred Heart will be added to the Grotto soon. Please keep Chris in your prayers as he works to meet the requirements to become an Eagle Scout.

Previous Eagle Projects at St. Joseph include the sprinkler system, fence and playground at the Education Center, rock work, and shelves in the gift shop storage room. We are very grateful for the hard work of the Eagle Scouts and Boy Scouts of our parish and community.

We also added a fire pit this summer. The fire pit was constructed by St. Joseph Young Adults, our 20s/30s group, which hosts regular Hike and Hang-out events. Their next Hike and Hang-out will be August 26th starting with attending the 5:15 pm Mass and followed by a short hike on South Table Mountain and relaxing around the fire pit. Please bring your camping chair!

We are thankful for the Young Adults who constructed this feature, which has become a fun place for fellowship for our Youth Ministry as well.

Work is also continuing in the Education Center. Painting has started and installation of lights will begin soon.
